SUMMARY:Puerto Rico Annual Bioscience Celebration
DESCRIPTION:In Puerto Rico\, October marks the Annual Bioscience Celebration.\n  \n \n \n \n \nINDUNIV Research Center and the PR Life Sciences community of partners during the month of October (weather permitting) commemorates the Annual Celebration of Bioscience. We are ready and inviting our community of partners to join and start planning for the 2022 event on its 19th edition. In 2021\, the occasion marked the eighteenth edition of the event\, under the theme “Bioscience and Puerto Rico\, Innovation that Works! Every year we have been marking a milestone for having this number of consecutive commemorations. The opening and other main activities are held during the period marked as Bioscience Innovation Week which is usually the second week in October. \nThe Bioscience Celebration has been a great awareness tool that helps us educate the general public in the merits and benefits of the of the life sciences sector (refer to the back page of this flyer for a purview of what the field of bioscience entails). The main purpose of this annual event is to reach out to as many people as possible through our community of partners. In this endeavor\, we pretend to carry the message of the importance of the life sciences with all of its benefits that impact our economy and quality of life.  \nDuring this celebration\, INDUNIV\, the Bio Alliance and the Education Committee (CIE) synergize with our regional community of partners in the organization of as many activities as possible. The intention is to impact students and general public throughout the month. At the same time\, we collaborate with the regional activities that are organized by public and private universities and companies. . In their own regions\, each partner attends to their school and college students as well as the community at large. \nThis bioscience & innovation annual event fosters awareness in general while develops for students an interest in science and technology fields. Our participative efforts allow to invest and build towards the future formation of STEM professionals for the industry. Through this commitment\, we will also contribute to sustain the level of PR workforce necessary for the represented sectors of life sciences \nJoin us and become part of this yearly occurrence in October\, by partnering in the organization of activities in your schools\, university campuses in your region and/or in your companies.  \nInterested?
