The Educational Infrastructure Committee (EIC) [Comité de Infraestructura Educativa (CIE)] is one of the standing committees for the Life Science Clusters. The Committee has existed since May 3, 2002 and currently celebrating the 8th anniversary. It’s main goal is the integration of efforts towards strengthening the academic formation and provide the skills for increasing the competitiveness of the life science workforce.
Vision:
To develop the technical and scientific workforce of Puerto Rico to sustain our global competitiveness and increase our knowledge base and capabilities for innovation.
Mission:
Through their committed and consistent participation, Educational Infrastructure Committee (EIC) members:
- Are crucial for formulation and implementation of the committee’s work plans.
- Contribute ideas, provide contacts, identify and bring forward collaborators in order to improve the committee’s organization.
- Act as links between the committee and the organizations they represent.
- Collaborate in workgroups in order to promote the committee’s desired goals.
